Confederation Cup final: CAF confirms Kickoff Time

The Confederation of African Football - CAF has confirmed that the 2022 Total Energies Confederation Cup final between Orlando Pirates of South Africa and RSB Berkane of Morocco will kickoff by 8pm local time on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
In a statement by the continental football body, Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku and his counterparts from Togo Antoine Folly, Cote D'Ivoire, Idriss Diallo and Benin Republic, Moucharafou Anjorin are expected as special guests at the final.
Meanwhile, the finalists are expected to arrive Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State in the Southern part of Nigeria on Wednesday May 18 ahead of the showpiece at the 30,000 seating capacity stadium.
Pirates, popularly called The Buccaneers were the first finalists to be confirmed when they completed a 2-1 aggregate victory over Libya’s Al Ahli Tripoli in their semifinal tie, before the North Africans, who were triumphant in the competition in 2020 defeated two-time winners TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo 4-2 on aggregate to book their ticket to Nigeria.
It will be the Soweto Giants’ first ever encounter with “The Orange Boysâ€, with both teams seeking their second major continental title.
