Copa Victor 2026 Finalists Burkina Faso U17 See Three Players Head To Palmeiras

Three promising players from Burkina Faso’s U17 national team have been invited to a training camp with Brazilian football giants Palmeiras, following the team’s impressive performance at the Copa Victor 2026, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
According to the Burkina News Agency (AIB), the selected players are Mohamed Konaté of Basga JO Academy, Lionel Sobiga of Real du Faso, and Sharif Traoré of AJA Abidjan. The trio is currently training with Palmeiras, one of Brazil’s most renowned clubs, famous for developing top talents such as Endrick, Gabriel Jesus, and Estêvão.
The players attracted the attention of Palmeiras scouts during the Copa Victor 2026, where Burkina Faso impressed with a strong run to the final. The training camp, which runs until February 18, provides the young talents with an opportunity to further demonstrate their abilities in a high-performance environment.
Speaking on Integral Foot, a sports programme aired on Burkina Faso’s national broadcaster RTB, the head coach of the U17 national team disclosed that Palmeiras is also closely monitoring seven additional players from the same squad.
Burkina Faso concluded the Copa Victor 2026 as runners-up, narrowly losing 1–0 to Palmeiras in the final played on January 29, after an outstanding tournament campaign.
