Copa del Rey: Goal Will Boost Sadiq’s Confidence, Valencia Coach Says

Valencia head coach Carlos Corberan believes that Sadiq Umar's goal against Ourense in the Copa del Rey will significantly boost the Nigerian forward's confidence, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Valencia triumphed 2-0 over Ourense on Tuesday, with Sadiq contributing to the win by scoring in the 78th minute.

Corberan praised the striker for his clinical finish, stating, “He’s shown he’s always close to the goal. He made a great individual move to score an important goal, and that will undoubtedly boost his confidence to net many more.”

The coach expressed satisfaction with Sadiq’s performance, adding, “I’m pleased with the minutes he played, as they’ll help him grow as a player. Goals give forwards a crucial confidence boost, which is important for them to continue helping the team in that area.”

Corberan also highlighted Sadiq’s eagerness to get back to his best form, saying, “I’ve seen a Sadiq full of desire to play, regain his form, and score goals. I also want to further motivate his commitment to contributing to the game at all times.”
