Coppa Italia: Lookman Ademola Score Twice As Atalanta Zoom Into the Quarter Final

Super Eagles winger Lookman Ademola continued his amazing run of form in the Italia football as he led Atalanta into the quarter-final of the Coppa Italia in Bergamo, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Atalanta hosted Spezia in the round of 16 on Thursday and defeated them 5-2, it was the Nigeria international that made the game easy for the host as he scored twice in 10 minutes.

He netted the opening goal in the 10th minute before competing his brace in the 12th minute.

Ekdal reduced the tally in the 14th but Hateboer restored the two-goal lead for Atalanta with a third goal in the 26th minute.

Verde brought Spezia back into the game again in the 38th minute but the host proved too much in the second half as Hojlund made it 4-2 before an own goal from Spezia defender Ethan Ampadu sealed the game for Atalanta.

Lookman is currently the second leading scorer in the Serie A with 9 goals.
