Coppa Italia: Okereke Fires Cremonese To The Next Round

The remainder of the Coppa Italia fixtures were held on Monday and it was a good debut for Nigerian forward David Okereke in the colour of US Cremonese, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Okereke joined Cremonese this summer on loan from Belgium Jupiler league side Club Brugge after a successful spell last with Venezia in the Serie A.

Cremonese faced Serie B club Ternana in the Coppa Italia round of 64 and secures a 3-2 victory.

Okereke made it 2-0 for the host in the 24th minute but Ternana fought back to level 2-2 before Cremonese sealed the game with the third goal to progress into the next round.

Okereke is expected to be vital for the club in the 2022/2023 Serie A season that will commence this weekend.
