Corporate Stars League Set to Kick Off In Nigeria

By Admin

Renowned sports consultancy agency 5-Star Football is gearing up to launch an exciting new initiative that targets a frequently overlooked segment: the corporate sector. The Corporate Stars Football League (CSL) is the latest addition to 5Stars' portfolio, designed to offer corporate professionals a chance to engage in competitive sports while promoting workplace health, wellness, networking, and productivity.

Olumide Aturu, Managing Director of 5Stars Football, emphasized the growing need for such a league, noting that as competition intensifies across various industries, it has become increasingly challenging for corporate employees to participate in regular football leagues. “Many professionals in the corporate sector find it hard to balance their demanding work schedules with their passion for sports. Beyond that, there’s a need for structured opportunities for office team bonding. To meet these needs, we’ve created the Corporate Stars Football League, tailored specifically for the corporate world,” Aturu explained.

The CSL is more than just about sports; it's a strategic initiative aimed at boosting employee productivity and contributing to Nigeria's GDP growth through workplace sports. "At 5Stars Football, we excel at driving friendly competition, connecting brands for increased ROI, and challenging employees to perform at their best. We believe workplace sports can be a powerful motivator, pushing employees to strive for excellence while building teamwork and collaboration," Aturu added.

The Corporate Stars League will offer more than just competition; it will create a unique environment where brands, products, and services can network and collaborate, benefiting both employees and employers. The league aims to encourage healthy competition, essential for both personal and professional growth.

The Corporate Stars League is set to kick off on October 19, 2024, in Abuja, following the conclusion of the annual 5Stars Premier League for youths on October 12. This new league has already attracted participation from major organizations such as CBN, PENCOM, TETFUND, Norrenberger, and FIRS for its inaugural season. The CSL promises to bring a fresh and exciting perspective to workplace sports in Nigeria, offering corporate professionals a platform to shine both on and off the field.
