Costa Rica 2022: Falconets Can Break The Jinx - Abiodun

Ahead of the 2022 FIFA U20 World Cup in Costa Rica, Nigeria's Falconets midfielder Deborah Abiodun has insisted that they have what it takes to win the World Cup this time, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The competition is slated to kick off on Wednesday and Falconets of Nigeria are among the 16 teams vying for honours at the tournament.

The Nigerian side arrived at the competition with a good record winning six matches out of their seven qualifying games.

" I expect absolute and full concentration from everyone because this is a dream come true for all of us and we want to just put in all our best to make Nigeria proud.

"We want to break the jinx and bring the World Cup to Nigeria, it's something we are excited to do.

"My target is to go on the field and do my best for the team," she said.

Falconets will open their campaign in the competition against France in the early hours of Thursday.
