Costa Rica 2022: Falconets Eclipse Senegal To Book Finals Ticket

Nigeria Falconets on Saturday spanked Senegal 4-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin to book their place in year's YEP Women's World Cup BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Having won the first leg 3-1 in Senegal, the Falconets had an easy task in Benin which was not to be complacent and keep their lead intact but the Nigerians shows why their on another level entirely compared to their visitors when they opened the scoring for the evening's game as early as the 8th minutes through Sebastine Flourish.

She then made it 2-0 in the 21st minute when she jumps higher than the entire Senegal defence to connect well with Esther Oyenezide's cross from the right flank.

Esther Oyenezide scored Nigerian 3rd of the evening from the penalty spot in the 24th minute and with less than a minute to the break, Senegal reduced the deficit Adji Ndiaye converted for them from the penalty spot.

3-1 going into the break, the Falconets continued to push for the 4th from the blast of the whistle for the start of the 2bd half and their persistent paid off in the 88th minutes as Joy Jerry made it 4-1.

With the final scores 4-1 and an aggregate of 7-2 the Falconets are through to the U20 World Cup slated for Costa Rica later this year.
