Costa Rica 2022: France Send Warning Signal To Falconets, Wallop Ghana In Friendly

Barely 10 days to the start of the 2022 U20 FIFA World Cup in Costa Rica, France Women's U20 national team walloped Ghana 4-0 to send a warning signal to the Nigeria's Falconets, BSNsports.com.ng report.

France demonstrated that they are favourites for the title by comprehensively beating Ghana 4-0 in an international friendly played on Friday.

It took just 15 minutes for France to the ahead with forward Vicki Becho scoring. Seven minutes later, Becho doubled the lead with her second.

Forward Esther Mbakem-Niaro made it three for France three minutes after the halftime break and in the 75th minute, Laurina Fazer scored a penalty.

Falconets will face France in the opening group game on August 12th before playing Canada and South Korea later in the group. While France is getting ready by playing another West African side, the 2010 and 2014 finalists have not played any international friendly match in preparation for the World Cup.
