"This year edition, we have 9 countries including Germany, Brazil and Zimbabwe participating for the first time, which is good for us because we are going to be playing against tougher and highly rated teams and a good test for our team. The game is coming up in Kigali Rwanda from 7th to the 19th of June 2022.
"For us we are going to win the trophy and make the statement that we are back among the top cricket teams in Africa, although we are not losing the sight that it's a ranking event, if you participate you will go up which is good for us if we come out in flying colours beyond that it's opportunity to tell the world that we are back and we want to remain top.
"The team are in camp, they resumed camp on the 13th of May and will last until the 6th of June in Benin City. We invited 24 players to camp and every week we downsized until the final 14 that will be representing Nigeria at this event."
