Crisis Looms In Cameroon: Head Coach Without Contract, Ousted Brys Still Receiving Salaries

Trouble appears to be brewing within the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) as reports emerge that the national team’s current head coach is operating without a formal contract, while former coach Michel Brys continues to receive salaries and allowances, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The situation has raised concerns over governance and financial management within FECAFOOT, with insiders describing the arrangement as “untenable” and “a recipe for confusion.” 

Sources say the current coaching staff has been working under informal terms, leaving them without job security or formal recognition.

Meanwhile, Michel Brys, who was relieved of his duties last year, is reportedly still receiving his entitlements, including monthly salaries and performance bonuses. 

The discrepancy has sparked debates among fans and analysts, with many questioning the federation’s priorities and transparency.

FECAFOOT has yet to release an official statement addressing the issue, and it remains unclear how the matter will be resolved.

 Stakeholders now fear that if the current contract uncertainty persists, it could affect the team’s preparations for upcoming competitions.
