Ghanian duo of Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey made headlines as Crystal Palace and Arsenal clashed in the premier league on Monday night, BSNSports.com.ng reports.


Forward Jordan Ayew scored his second goal of the season for Crystal Palace in the Premier League.


Crystal Palace took the lead through Jean-Phillipe Mateta in the 16th minute.


Jordan Ayew increased the lead for the home side as the Ghanaian striker latched onto a great pass by Joachim Andersen into the inside right channel.


He expertly controlled it before curling the ball into the bottom right corner.


It was Ayew's first goal for the club in the year 2022.



He scored in front of Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo, who was in attendance at Selhurst Park as a special guest.


Crystal Palace went on to win the game 3-0 extending their unbeaten streak to six games across all competitions.


Meanwhile, Arsenal suffered a setback when Ghana's deputy captain, Thomas Partey, injured his groin during the defeat at Selhurst Park.


The midfielder was substituted in the 74th minute.


The game included three Ghanaians, the third of them was Jeffrey Schlupp, who performed did well for the Eagles.


Following Monday's result, Palace have moved up to ninth place, while Arsenal failed to return to top four.
