Curtain Falls On 21st National Sports Festival 

After almost two weeks of excitement, thrills, frills and frenzy, the curtain will fall on the 21st edition of the 2020 Asaba National Sports Festival today at the Stephen Keshi Stadium with parades from all 36 States and FCT as well as the traditional finals of the relay.

Also, the next host of the 2024 edition of the Festival is expected to be announced in line with tradition. Six States have submitted bids to host the next edition of National Sports Festival.

Minister of Youth and sports Development, Sunday Dare is expected to formally make the announcement of the host today.

Delta State have an unassailable lead on the medals table, with Bayelsa and Edo trailing in second and third positions. Interestingly, all the participating teams except Zamfara have won medals at the biennial event.

The Festival which started on 28th November will climax today, Saturday, 10th December, 2022
