Cyriel Dessers Hits Italy Monday for US Cremonese Medical

Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers is one step away from completing his €6.5m move to newly-promoted Italian side US Cremonese as he due to have a medical on Monday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian who returned to his parent club Genk after a fantastic season with Dutch side Feyenoord, has been linked with a move away from the Belgian League in this summer transfer window.

Dessers who has three goals and an assist; making him among the top scores in the league, looks set to have played his last game for Genk in their second home win against KAS Eupen on Saturday.

According to the Nigerian, "It's no secret that the transfer is close. Italy? Yes, the chance is there. I can say that. I have always dreamed of a top league and it is now very close.

"Tomorrow (Monday) is an important day between the clubs, so I'm very curious," the Nigerian attacker told Eleven Sports. 

Voetbalnieuws have also confirmed the new development, Dessers official announcement will probably be in the coming week. the Nigerian will only take his medical and physical tests in Italy on Monday.
