Cyriel Dessers Inks €6.5 million Deal With Cremonese

Italian Serie A side, US Cremonese have sealed a €6.5 million euros deal for Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers from Belgium Jupiler Pro League side RKC Genk, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The newly-promoted side announced the deal on Wednesday via its official website.
Desserts, 27, who returned to Luminus Arena this summer after a successful loan spell at Feyenoord, had been linked to a move to FC Copenhagen and Partizan Belgrade.
The attacker who has already scored three goals in two matches, making him one of the leading scorers of the league, play his last game for Genk last weekend against Eupen.
The Italian club stated on its website, "US Cremonese announce that it has definitively acquired the right to Cyriel Dessers ' sports performances from KRC Genk .
"Born in Tongeren (Belgium) on 8 December 1994, a forward, Dessers is the top scorer of the 2021/22 edition of the UEFA Conference League thanks to the 10 goals he scored with the Feyenoord shirt, where he played on loan for a season.
"Growing up in Oud Heverlee and moving to Lokeren, Cyriel made a name for himself with Breda, the Dutch side with whom he scored 29 goals in 40 second division appearances. His career continued in the Netherlands with Utrecht (19 goals in 56 games), Heracles Almelo (18 goals in 29 games) and Feyenoord (20 goals in 41 games).
"With Genk, on the other hand, he made 43 appearances and scored 11 goals (3 goals in as many appearances in the start of the 2022/23 season).
"With a Belgian passport and now a naturalized Nigerian, he featured with the Super Eagles and he has so far had three international caps and scored one goal."
