D'Tigers Begin 2025 AfroBasket Campaign With Emphatic Victory Over Madagascar

D'Tigers of Nigeria has commenced their 2025 AfroBasket campaign with an 18-point win over Madagascar in their first group match of the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
D'Tigers defeated their opponents 77-59 in a scintillating fashion after an enduring first quarter in the 2025 Afrobasket championship.
However, D'Tigers went into the locker with a 1 point advantage over Madagascar with an impressive performance from Nigeria's Caleb Agada, who led with a game-high 13 points.
It was not smooth sailing for Nigerian side but they fired up in the fourth quarter winning 22-13 to dominate the game after full time. Caleb Agada (22), Stan Okoye (13), Ike Nwamu (12) and Kaodirichi Akobundu (10) combined for 57 points.
Ten years after winning its first Afrobasket title, Nigeria is on a quest to make it a second triumph on the continent and their next game is against Tunisia on Friday.
