D’Tigress Star Joins New York Liberty

Nigeria’s D’Tigress forward Elizabeth Balogun has joined WNBA side New York Liberty after signing a developmental player contract with the franchise, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The New York Liberty announced the move, welcoming the Nigerian star to the team as she takes another step in her professional basketball career.

“New York Liberty have signed Elizabeth Balogun to a developmental player contract, the team announced today. Welcome to NY, Elizabeth,” the club stated.

Balogun was previously part of Nigeria’s D’Tigress squad for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Her move to the Liberty represents another opportunity for the Nigerian international to compete at the highest level of women’s basketball and further develop her career in the WNBA.

Balogun will now look to make an impact with the New York-based franchise as the Liberty continue their campaign in the WNBA.
