DREAM CUP: Poor Weather Reason Why Future Eagles Lost To Japan -Sogelola

Sampson Adedeji

Nigeria's Future Eagle defender Taiwo Sogelola has attributed their heavy loss to Japan to poor weather conditions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After suffering a narrow 1-0 loss to the Netherlands in the opening game, the Nigerian team was expected to bounce back in the second game but it was never meant to be as they lost 6-1.

The M & N FC defender said they came into the game prepared but the wet condition affected their performances.

"We were ready for the game, but the persistent rainfall hurts our performance.

"Moreover, we were playing against the home team who understood the weather situation.

"We will bounce back and pick the needed victory when we face the United States on Sunday", he said.

Sogelola is one of the players who has played the entire minutes of the tournament.
