Daniel Daga Scores on Starting Return as Molde Rally to Beat KFUM Oslo 4-2
By BSN Sports
Nigerian midfielder Daniel Daga marked his return to Molde's starting line-up with a goal as the Norwegian side came from behind to defeat KFUM Oslo 4-2 in an Eliteserien clash on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
KFUM Oslo made a dream start by opening the scoring in the first minute, putting the visitors under immediate pressure. Molde responded before the break, with Daga restoring parity in the 40th minute after calmly drilling a low finish into the net from inside the penalty area.
The 19-year-old produced an assured display before being substituted in the 69th minute for Enggård. Molde built on their momentum after the interval, scoring three more goals to complete an emphatic comeback victory.
The strike was Daga's first goal since returning to action following his acquittal on sexual assault charges. He made his competitive comeback last weekend, coming off the bench in Molde's 2-1 home defeat to Brann.
Daga's impressive performance will provide a timely boost for Molde as they continue their pursuit of a European qualification spot in the Norwegian Eliteserien, while also offering encouragement to the club's coaching staff ahead of the coming fixtures.
