David Alaba Sad About Ronaldo's Situation

Nigeria-born, Austria International David Alaba has expressed his sadness on how the career of Portuguese International Cristiano Ronaldo turned out, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Real Madrid star has been under severe criticism lately after falling out with Manchester United and granting an interview to one of England's foremost journalist Piers Morgan.

The interview led to his contract termination at Old Trafford before the end of his term.

He also has a World Cup to forget in Qatar scoring just a goal as Portugal crashed out in the quarter-final to the Atlas Lions of Morocco.

Real Madrid defender, Alaba, while reacting to Ronaldo's situation said he looked up to him as he helped shape his generation.

"What he has done in the last 15 years, I am personally really grateful for. He has helped shape our generation. It's sad and a shame that you have to read such things said about him", he said.
