The Super Falcons of Nigeria has finally received their official training kits after a week-long delay by customs clearance in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The kits, provided by global sportswear manufacturer Nike, were delivered to the team’s base at the Ibis Casablanca Hotel on Thursday evening. Since the start of the tournament, the nine-time African champions had been forced to train in outdated matchday jerseys, prompting widespread reaction from fans and stakeholders in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had earlier clarified that the delay stemmed from logistical complications at Moroccan customs. NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau addressed the situation earlier this week in Casablanca, explaining that efforts were made at all levels to expedite the release of the kits, which had been held up through no fault of the federation.

With the kits now in hand, morale among the Super Falcons is said to be high ahead of Friday’s high-stakes quarterfinal showdown against Zambia’s Copper Queens at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium. Team officials confirmed that the players will don the new gear during Friday's pre-match warm-up.
