Nigerian midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru is close to finalizing a new three-year contract with Watford, a Sky Bet Championship club.

According to Sky Sports, negotiations between Dele-Bashiru’s representatives and Watford are in the final stages.

The 24-year-old, who joined Watford from Manchester City in 2019, had his best season with the club last year, scoring two goals and providing four assists in 35 league appearances.

Dele-Bashiru has also represented Nigeria at the U-20 and U-23 levels.

His younger brother, Fisayo, recently scored Nigeria’s only goal in a 1-1 draw with South Africa.
