Delta Govt Unveils LOC For 2025 National Youth Games Precious Oham The Delta State government has unveiled an eight-man Local Organizing Committee (LOC) as the state gears up to host the 9th edition of the National Youth Games this August, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Onoriode Oborevwori, will serve as LOC Chairman, with former Commissioner for Sports, Chief Solomon Ogba, appointed as Adviser. Former Super Eagles defender and current board member of the Sports Commission, Mr. Sam Sodje, is also on the team, alongside fellow board members Mr. Oghale Ofremu and Miss Henrietta Ehiabor. Other appointees include the immediate past Director General of the Sports Commission, Mr. Festus Ohwojero, and Mr. Paul Omamomo-Ojo as members, while the functional Director General of the Sports Commission, Emuobo Igalase, will serve as Secretary. The LOC has been charged with organizing and hosting a successful 9th National Youth Games, which will officially commence on August 26 with the arrival of contingents from across the country in Asaba. The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to staging an event that will showcase Delta’s proven capacity for sports excellence and its leadership in grassroots talent development.
