Denmark Determined To Keep Chido Away From Nigeria – Riemer

Denmark’s national team coach, Brian Riemer, has affirmed that they are making every effort to ensure Chido Obi commits his international future to Denmark, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Chido has been in the spotlight since his move from Arsenal to Manchester United, quickly establishing himself as a rising star.

Riemer acknowledged that the young forward is also eligible to represent England and Nigeria but remains confident that Denmark will secure his commitment, having already initiated contact.

 “I have had conversations with him, and my colleagues at the DBU have also been in dialogue with him. He is in a very exciting place right now, and we have shown our appreciation by encouraging and supporting him,” Riemer said.

 “When you’re 17 years old and playing for Manchester United, you deserve recognition.”

“For the Danish senior national team, consistency is key, and his next challenge is to cement his place at Manchester United. However, we are closely monitoring him because we believe he has a bright future in Danish football.”

“We are making every effort to keep him within the Danish national setup. Fortunately, he is a good kid who feels Danish, and a lot is being done at all levels of the national team to secure his future with us,” he added.
