Dennis Earns BBC Pundit Praise For Goal Against Newcastle Utd

Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis was lauded by BBC pundit Steve Sutton on Friday night as Nottingham Forest lost to Newcastle, BSNSports.com.ng has sourced.

The 25-year-old fired Forest in front but ultimately it proved in vain as the Magpies ran out 2-1 winners.

Dennis started a game for just the fourth time in the Premier League this season. He capped his start with a goal and he took it superbly well against the team with the best defence in the division.

Steve Cooper handed the Nigerian a start against Newcastle. He had impressed from the bench against Tottenham and richly deserved a chance from the get-go against the Magpies.

Dennis signed for Forest from Watford in the summer. He cost the club £20 million but for whatever reason, it simply hasn’t worked out for the versatile player.

Sutton was desperately impressed on Friday. After he had chipped Nick Pope in the first half, he raved about the forward during his stint on BBC Radio Nottingham.

He said: “Dennis has done exceptionally well there. It’s absolutely brilliant.”

Dennis now deserves to start for the Reds more often. He has shown that he’s capable at Premier League level and frankly he’s producing the goods to a certain extent.

The 25-year-old hasn’t found life easy at the City Ground. He’s been forced to wait patiently for a chance but now he’s trying to grasp it with both hands.

Dennis deserves a run of games. He was quality against Newcastle and he was one Forest player that certainly didn’t deserve to be on the losing team.

Forest are in serious trouble at the foot of the Premier League table. They now sit 16th in the division and are staring at relegation given their current form.

With Dennis in the team, however, the Reds have every chance. The striker deserves his chance to shine and hopefully, he can grab a few more goals before the season is out.
