Dessers In Action, Helps Feyenoord Cruise To Conference League Final After Stalemate Draw Against Marseille

Cyriel Dessers’ first leg brace was enough to send the Feyenoord to the finals of the maiden edition of the Europa Conference League as they qualified 3-2 on aggregate, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Dessers was in action for 90 minutes as Feyenoord held on to secure qualification for the final.

Feyenoord came into the second leg at the Stade Velodrome knowing that they just need to avoid defeat to progress to the inaugural Europa Conference League final.

The Nigerian striker remains on top of the Europa Conference League goalscorers chart with 10 goals. He will battle with his closest challenger, Tammy Abraham on nine (9) goals in the final at Tirana.

Feyenoord will now face Roma and Jose at the first-ever final of the UEFA Europa Conference League in Tirana, Albania on May 25, 2022.
