Dessers Opens Goal Account In New Belgium Jupiler League Season

Action continued in the 2022/2023 Belgium Jupiler League season on Sunday and it was a mixed feeling for Super Eagles and RKC Genk forward Cyril Dessers, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Dessers returned to the Limburger after spending the 2021/2022 season in the Dutch Eredivisie with Feyenoord.

He was a revelation for the Dutch club both in the league and UEFA Conference League where he netted 10 goals to win the golden boot of the tournament.

The league started on Sunday and Genk played away to champions Club Brugge and lost 3-2.

Skov Olsen netted the opening goal for Brugge in the 22nd minute before Dessers equalized in the 30th.

Tresor put Genk in front in the 47th minute and Vanaken levelled for the host while Olsen completed his brace in the 92nd minute to hand Brugge the maximum points.
