Doma United Coach, Akinade Onigbinde Wins NPFL Manager of The Week

Doma United head coach, Akinade Onigbinde landed the Nigeria Professional Football League Manager of The Week after guiding his team to a 2-1 win over champions, Rivers United in the match-day 7 tie.

Onigbinde dedicated the award to the players and other officials of the team insisting that it is not a personal but team achievement.

"I believe it is about us as a team, it is about the results that we had in last weekend against the champions, Rivers United. It's not about me, it's about the team.

"If it was about me it would have to be the coaching staff of the week, because without the other guys this wouldn't be possible, so this kind of thing I never feel it as an individual award. I always feel that belongs to the team, belongs to the results that we had."

The 2-1 win pushed Doma United to fourth on the League table with 9 points from six matches.

Doma will face Enugu Rangers on Saturday 11th February, 2023.
