The management of the newly promoted Doma United of Gombe has denied the sale of it's slot in the Nigeria Professional Football League to any club, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Gombe state-based club secured a ticket to participate in the 2022/2023 NPFL season after they finished top of the Group A2 log of the 2021/2022 Nigeria National League.

Since their promotion to the elite division, there has been rumours that they intend to sell their slot to one of the relegated clubs from the NPFL.

The Chief Executive Officer of the club Alhaji Suleiman Umar on Wednesday denied the rumours and said they are prepared to play in the NPFL.

" We have gone far in our preparations for the new season.

"NPFL club owners meeting was recently held and we participated in the NNL Super 4 in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State where we tested our player's strength ahead of the season.

"So I think all these reports are just strategies meant to distract us from our preparations.

"I will like to reassert our resolve to participate in the NPFL," the chairman said.

Doma United finished in the 4th position in the just concluded NNL Super 4 in Bayelsa State.
