Son of Lobi Stars of Makurdi Vice Chairman Dominic Iorfa has been compared with Italian and AC Milan legend Franco Baresi, after he made it three clean sheets in his last three competitive appearances for English club Sheffield Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng has sourced. 

The backline ended the 2023-24 campaign strongly and looked entirely unnerved as Sheffield Wednesday claimed a 4-0 win over Plymouth Argyle yesterday.

Danny Rohl welcomed new signings Max Lowe and Yan Valery into the starting line-up, with the usual pairing of Iorfa and Di’Shon Bernard sandwiched in between them.

Iorfa saw very little action in his own half as the Yorkshire outfit dominated on home soil, but he was still deservedly praised for his contribution.

The 29-year-old completed the second-most accurate passes on the pitch (40), won the joint-most dribbles (2), won the most headers (6) and made two clearances.

Iorfa showed exactly why he should be a fixture in Wednesday’s starting line-up and his teammates clearly believed so too.

The centre-back took to Instagram to share his delight at the result, writing: “Great start to the season, 4 goals and a clean sheet!”
