Dozy Mmobuosi Reaffirms Interest In Buying Newly Promoted EPL Club

Convener of the Dozy Foundation, Dozy Mmobuosi reaffirmed his interest in buying the newly promoted EPL club from the Championship Sheffield United FC in a tweet earlier this week, writes BSNSports.com.ng.

The Nigerian-born UK businessman and tech entrepreneur stated this categorically via his official handle, with the intention of sustaining his productive relationship with the "experts and professionals" hired for the purchase logistics.

The tweet read, "I wish to state categorically that I have not withdrawn my bid to acquire Sheffield United FC. Beyond the £8.85 GBP paid to the United World, I will continue to work with the experts and professionals I hired to buy the club."

This week, Dozy had a "positive and constructive" meeting with the club's chairman Yusuf Giansiracusa and the CEO Stephen Bettis, with hopes of reaching a mutually beneficial outcome, especially bearing the fans in mind.

Dozy Mmobuosi is also an ardent lover of football on home soil following his recent investment into the Super Cup Football Tournament scheduled for pre-season.

The foundation reportedly invested ₦1.2 Billion into this year's Super Cup tie, tagged the NPFL-Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation Pre-season Tournament, with the winner expected to smile home with nothing less than ₦1 billion in prize money.

The tournament, organized by The Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation, in partnership with the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), is under the aegis of the Nigeria Premier Football League Limited Bsnsports.com.ng reports.
