Former Super Falcons coach Godwin Izilien has attributed the corruption allegations against Nigerian coaches to players that are dropped from the team and their agents, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Izilien further explained that no coach would select bad players for competitions and also insisted that all the allegations have to stop for Nigeria's football to improve.

â€œThe whole world reads and watches us as we denigrate the development of Nigerian football.

"No coach, who knows his trade, would choose players who are not good enough in his team rather than the best because of money.

"It means that such a coach does not respect his career.

“I think that some agents and players who were ignored when these teams were preparing for their various championships are the ones who are spreading these false allegations.

"Please this should stop to avoid damaging Nigeria's image in world football", he said.
