Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has told Sparta Rotterdam's fans the reason he has to move to a bigger club and league, BSNsports.com.ng gathered



Okoye joined the Dutch Eredivisie side 2 years ago from the German club Jong Dusseldorf has been amazing for the club between the sticks.


He kept his last game for the club on Sunday and he massive again as helped them to a 3-1 win over Heracles Armelo.


During his stay, the Nigeria international has emerged as a crowd favourite and was evident after the final game of the season.


" it's done, unfortunately, the club is really in my heart and I mean that. In two years I have experienced so much here, it was the time of my life and I will never forget it.


Okoye signed a deal with the relegated English premier league side Watford a year ago and he will join the Hornets this summer.


" I would have preferred to have played here for fifteen years, but also I have to think about myself.


I dream of winning the champions league, my father, my family and I work hard for that and I know it can happen," he said.


England bound Okoye is expected to be back in the Super Eagles camp ahead of the International games against Ecuador and Mexico under a newly appointed Jose Paseiro
