Despite Ajax Amsterdam's dwindling performance, Nigerian forward Chuba Akpom continues to make headlines in the league, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Arsenal forward has had a slow start to life at the Amsterdam Arena, but he seems to have burst into life since scoring against Voledam.

After suffering a 2-0 defeat to the English Premier League giants Brighton Hove Albion in the UEFA Europa League, Ajax secured a 2-2 draw against Almere FC on Sunday.
