Newly-promoted English Premier League club Nottingham Forest secured their second win of the season on Saturday with a win against Liverpool, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Liverpool was still basking in the euphoria of back-to-back wins over champion Manchester City and West Ham United but got the shock of their lives at the City Ground.

Nigeria's Super Eagles attacker Taiwo Awoniyi started the game against his former side and he was a constant threat to the backline of the away side.

After the scoreless first half, the Nigeria international broke the deadlock in the 55th minute with a well-taken goal.

The lanky forward was replaced by Worrall in the 64th minute as all the efforts of the former champions to bounce back proved abortive.
