EPL: Awoniyi Happy To Score First Nottingham Forest Goal In 23 Years

Nigeria forward Taiwo Awoniyi has expressed his excitement following the goal he scored for his club Nottingham Forest against West Ham United, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

Forest returned to their home City Ground for a Premier League game after 23 years in the championship.

They defeated the Hammers 1-0 with Awoniyi scoring the only goal of the game.

While reacting to the game, the lanky Nigerian forward said he's happy with the goal and hoping to get more goals as the season progresses.

" I feel very happy about the goal and I give kudos to all the lads.

"For me as a striker is about getting the ball into the net, and it just happened.

"To be the first player to score the goal I'm happy and I'm looking forward to getting more goals," he said.
