EPL: Bassey Attributes Fulham Loss To Bad Luck

Following Fulham's narrow 1-0 loss to Manchester United, Super Eagles and Fulham defender Calvin Bassey has attributed the result to bad luck, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Bassey, who played the full match, expressed disappointment after the defeat, stating that Fulham deserved more from the game.

"I thought we deserved more. We controlled the game, but it just wasn’t our day," the Nigerian international told TNT Sports.

 "Football requires a bit of luck, and unfortunately, it wasn’t on our side today."

He also pointed out that United didn’t create many opportunities to threaten Fulham.

"They didn’t create too many chances to trouble us. We were aware of their quality. We had a lot of chances ourselves; maybe we could have been a bit sharper in the final moments," Bassey added.

The defender has been one of Fulham's standout performers this season.
