EPL: Iheanacho Starts, Lookman Benched As Leicester, Chelsea Share The Spoils

Kelechi Iheanacho started and was in action for 63 minutes but his international teammate Ademola Lookman watched on from the bench for the entirety of the game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

James Maddison opened the scoring for the visitors before Marcos Alonso levelled the scores. Chelsea had 19 shots, but could only make one count. Thomas Tuchel emerged from the bench dejected as the full-time whistle blew.

Leicester were in the lead inside six minutes of play through James Maddison whose shot had precision and pace. After losing possession at the back, Maddison got hold of the ball, he used Thiago Silva as a decoy, before bending a tremendous effort around the frame of the Brazilian.

Poor defensively from Chelsea, very passive - but all credit went to the Leicester midfielder.

Marcos Alonso grabbed the leveller for the Blues in the 34th and that marked his fourth strike of the season. Reece James made a superb delivery from right to left as both full-backs combined to restore parity at Stamford Bridge.

The Foxes remain ninth, while Chelsea have all but guaranteed their third-place finish.
