Hosts, Naija Ratels were able to contain the attack firepower of the Benin Arsenals (who had scored 15 goals enroute the final) and would have leveled the scoreline but the Abuja based Nigeria Women's Football League side were wasteful in front of goal.

On the road to final, Edo Queens defeated Ekiti United, beat Dannaz FC and brushed aside Honey Badgers and handed a 2-0 victory to Sunshine Queens before a 1-0 win in the final.

Reacting to the successful hosting of the sixth edition, the organiser of the preseason tournament and CEO of Naija Ratels, elated Barrister Paul Edeh said he was fulfilled following the glamour, quality display of football artistry that gave glimpse of what the 2023/24 Nigeria Women's Football League will look like.
