Edo Queens Thrash Bayelsa As Ahudiyannem, Pacesetter Claim First Wins

The latest round of matches in the Nigeria Women’s Football League delivered goals and dramatic moments across several centres, with Edo Queens producing the standout performance of the day in a dominant victory over Bayelsa Queens, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Edo Queens overwhelmed Bayelsa Queens 4–1 in a blistering first-half display. Atume Doosuur opened the scoring in the fourth minute before Chioma Moses doubled the lead five minutes later. Doosuur struck again in the 13th minute to make it 3–0, and Moses completed the rout with the fourth goal in the 30th minute as the hosts established an unassailable lead before halftime.

Ibom Angels also impressed with a convincing 3–1 win over Naija Ratels. Happiness Agboye gave Ibom Angels an early lead in the eighth minute before Godsgift Afigbediator converted from the penalty spot in the 28th minute. Agboye completed her brace eight minutes later to put the game beyond reach, although Chekwube Oneje pulled one back for Naija Ratels in the 38th minute.

Ekiti Queens secured a comfortable 2–0 victory against Heartland Queens. Kaosarat Olamide Olanrewaju opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, while Amarachi Okoronkwo sealed the win shortly after the restart with a goal in the 46th minute.

Delta Queens and Nasarawa Amazons shared the spoils in a 1–1 draw. Anesthesia Terfa gave Delta Queens the lead deep into first-half stoppage time, but Ayowunmi Omosuyi equalised four minutes into the second half to ensure both sides earned a point.

Confluence Queens edged Abia Angels 2–1 in a dramatic encounter. Abia Angels suffered an early setback when Onyedikachi Ekezie inadvertently turned the ball into her own net in the fifth minute. Hannah Yusuf restored parity for the hosts in the 54th minute, but Emmanuel Seember scored a dramatic winner for Confluence Queens deep into stoppage time.

Dannaz Ladies claimed a narrow 1–0 victory over Osun Babes thanks to Fausat Idris’ decisive strike in the 75th minute.

Pacesetter Queens recorded a solid 2–0 win against Adamawa Queens, with Hikmat Adewale opening the scoring in the 51st minute before Esther Kaase added a second in the 80th minute.

Ahudiyannem Queens also secured an away victory, defeating Remo Stars Ladies 2–1. Uduakobong Monday put the visitors ahead in the 34th minute, but Daniella Fagbenro equalised just before halftime. Mary Lucky netted the winner in the 64th minute to seal the result.
