Nigeria Football Federation head of technical department Austin Eguavoen Arrive Cairo, Egypt ahead of the technical directors meeting, BSNsports.com.ng report

Former Super Eagles defender was handed the position of the Super Eagles coach on an interim basis following the departure of Gernot Rohr in late 2021.

He led the team to the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon where they crashed out in the Round of 16 and was also in charge of the Qatar 2022 World Cup playoffs against the Black Stars of Ghana.

He was relieved as the head of Super Eagles coach after the playoff but was returned to his position as the head of the technical department.

'Cerezo' as he's fondly called landed in Egypt on Monday afternoon for the technical directors meeting that is slated to take place this week.
