Eguavoen Explains Why He Sticks With Iheanacho

By Sampson Adedeji

Super Eagles interim coach Austin Eguavoen has explained the reason he stick with the Sevilla forward Kelechi Iheanacho despite his poor form, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Genk forward Tolulope Arokodare and Rangers attacker Cyril Dessers has been in splendid form since the start of the season but Eguavoen believed experience was the reason he sticked with Iheanacho.

“I decided to include Kelechi Iheanacho of Sevilla when it became clear Victor Osimhen would not be fit in time,” Eguavoen told Afrik Foot.

" I looked at both Cyriel Dessers and Tolu Arokodare, but opted for Kelechi this time because he is the more experienced striker.”

Arokodare has scored 6 goals this season while Dessers has netted 7 goals for Rangers.
