Former Nigeria's Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr is set to return to work very soon if the information coming from Egypt is to be considered, BSNsports.com.ng report.
Rohr was sacked in late 2020 by the Nigeria Football Federation following the poor performance of the Super Eagles then despite still in the position of qualifying for two major tournaments.
According to the information coming from Egypt, the Egypt Football Association( EFA) has opened the discussion with Rohr and the former coach of the team Carlos Queiroz.
Queiroz was sacked in March after the Pharaoh lost to Senegal and failed to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Ehab Galal was appointed in his position but the recent poor performance of the team most especially the 2-0 loss to Ethiopia in the qualifier of the 2023 African Cup of Nations led to the sacking of Galal again.
The reports suggest that EFA opened the discussion with Rohr representatives on Thursday and he alongside Queiroz are in a pole position to get the job.
