AFCON U20: Egypt Line-Up Zambia Friendly For Flying Eagles, As Pharaohs Name Squad

Host of the U20 African Cup of Nations, Egypt Young Pharaohs are set to play two friendly games against Zambia before the end of the year, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Pharaohs were shown no favour after being drawn in a difficult group against Nigeria, Senegal and Mozambique in the draw conducted on Friday in Cairo.
The 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations will take place in Egypt between February 18 to March 12 as the hosts look for their first title since 2013.
Meanwhile, Head coach Mahmoud Gaber has named his squad for the upcoming training camp this month.
Gaber’s squad is set to feature several highly-rated players including Hamburg playmaker Omar Magueed.
Magueed made history with Hamburg back in August becoming the youngest debutant for the club at 16 years and 359 days.
Udinese forward Salah Basha and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Mostafa Ashraf has also been called up to the squad along with Vizela shot-stopper Ahmed Nader El-Sayed.

Goalkeepers: Ahmed Nader El-Sayed, Karim Mohamed Nabil, Mostafa Makhlouf, and Mohamed Adel Amin.
Defenders: Abdelrahman Rashdan, Mohamed Kamal, Omar Fayed, Abdulrahman Goda, Youssef Shaaban, Eyad El-Asklani, Karim El-Debs, Ahmed Reda, and Mohamed Hamdy.
Midfielders: Khaled Awad, Nour El-Din, Ahmed Roshdy, Ahmed Bayoumi, Mohamed Fares, Mido Nabil, Maged Hany, Tarek Alaa, Ahmed Abdelrahim, Youssef El-Azab, and Mostafa Ashraf.
Forwards: Ahmed Sherif, Mahmoud Morsy, Salah Basha, Youssef Hassan, Abdelrahman Zaki, and Ahmed Nader Hawash.
