Former Super Eagles striker Anthony Ujah has sealed his move to German Bundesliga 2 side, Eintracht Braunschweig, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Ujah, 31, switched to Braunschweig on a one-year deal with the option of another season as a free agent after the expiration of his contract with Union Berlin.
After playing in the Bundesliga with FSV Mainz 05, FC Köln, Werder Bremen and Union Berlin, Ujah moved to the 2nd Bundesliga at Eintracht Braunschweig.Â
"With Anthony, we have an experienced striker, who with his complete fitness, will further enhance our squad on the offensive and especially in goal scoring," said Braunschweig.
"At the same time, our young attackers will benefit from his experience. Tony is an absolute team player," said Eintracht sporting director Peter Vollmann.
Ujah came to the Bundesliga from Norway in 2011. Overall, he scored 30 goals in 136 first-division games. The former Nigerian international was particularly successful for FC Köln in the 2nd Bundesliga, scoring 24 goals in 62 games.
"I'm very happy to be part of Eintracht in the future. I know the second Bundesliga division and will try to help the team with my experience.
" I was rooting for the DFB Pokal (FA Cup) game against Hertha Berlin at the airport in Nigeria on Sunday and I'm happy for the team. In the end, we want to celebrate winning together, I will invest everything for that," said Ujah.
