Ekong Reacts To Super Eagles AFCON 2025 Draw

The assistant captain of the Super Eagles, William Troost-Ekong, has shared his thoughts on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw, which was released on Monday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria’s national team will face Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania in Group C.

The Al-Khalood defender expressed his excitement about the draw and stated that the team would be fully prepared for the competition.

“The AFCON 2025 draw is done, and it’s really exciting to see the groups. Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania are three teams that demand respect,” Troost-Ekong told the Super Eagles media.

“We now have the experience to handle situations like this. There are no easy games in Africa anymore, that’s well known.”

“Still, I believe we have what it takes to progress from this group and go all the way. We learned a lot last year in the AFCON in Abidjan, and we’ll be much more prepared this time.”

“We’ll work hard throughout the year to ensure everyone is fit and ready. We’re also excited to play under the new coach. It’s going to be an exciting year, and I’m very happy with the AFCON draw,” he added.
