Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong made a nostalgic return to Vicarage Road on Saturday as he visited his former club, Watford FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian international, who featured for the Hornets between 2020 and 2023, was a key part of the squad during his time at the club.

He made 64 appearances and netted two goals, helping the team in their push for promotion and stability in the Championship.

Troost-Ekong was spotted among the spectators as Watford hosted Hull City in a Championship clash on Saturday afternoon.

His presence drew warm reactions from fans who still hold fond memories of his commitment and leadership during his spell at the club.

The 30-year-old defender now plies his trade abroad but continues to maintain strong ties with Watford, where he remains a respected figure.
