Three-time champions El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will take on surprise finalists Ikorodu City in the men's final of the 2026 President Federation Cup following victories in their respective semi-final matches on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ikorodu City continued their remarkable giant-killing run by defeating Nasarawa United 4-2 on penalties after both sides played out a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

The result extended Nasarawa United's difficult history at the venue. Five years ago, the Solid Miners also suffered heartbreak in the competition's final, losing to Bayelsa United on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

At the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, El-Kanemi Warriors produced a commanding performance to overcome Wikki Tourists 3-1 and secure their second consecutive appearance in the final. The Maiduguri-based side, champions in 1991, 1992 and 2024, will now have the opportunity to claim a fourth Federation Cup title.

Attention now shifts to the women's competition, where the quarter-final matches will be played on Thursday across four venues.

At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Sunshine Queens of Akure will face Confluence Queens of Lokoja in the opening fixture at 1 p.m., while multiple champions Rivers Angels will battle FC Robo Queens at 4 p.m.

Elsewhere, Heartland Queens of Owerri will take on Ibom Angels in Aba, while in Anyigba, defending league champions Edo Queens will meet Nasarawa Amazons in what promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the round.
