As we are all aware, there has been dark cloud of uncertainty surrounding the administration of our football in the past few months. We have a situation where the issue of court injuction has affected our football administration. This time, it is an interim injuction granted in December, 2021, a suit filed in Yenogoa Bayelsa High Court which has restrained the NFF from convening its Annual General Assembly (AGA) for over seven months.

Many members of the Congress have given an ultimatum to the Executive Committee to call the AGA within a specified time.

In accordance with the view of Nigeria football fraternity as expressed on several foral many members of Executive Committee have demanded that the Executive Committee must ensured that the 2022 NFF Elections take place in September this year within the electoral life span of the current board.

"The Plaintiff in the relevant suit in Bayelsa State and beneficiary of the interim injuction has forfieted his right and filed for the discontinuous of the suit.

" In full agreement and allignment to the statute above, about where NFF is supreme law for the administration of football in Nigeria subject of course to any conflict to the laws of Nigeria. By virtue of NFF Statute, Annual General Assembly as currently constituted is supreme legislative body. The Congress has been informed by the NFF General Secretary that after the botched AGA earlier fixed for August 16 in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State, AGA has now been fixed for 18th of August 2022 in Lagos State. As Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, I look forward to receiving you in the Center of Excellence. I wish to make it abundantly clear that I support the total adherence to the letters of NFF Statute, supremacy of the Congress and the commitment that tze 2022 NFF Elections be held on or before the 20th of September, 2022.
