Elijah Akanni Pens Emotional Farewell Message To Enyimba

Elijah Akanni has penned an emotional farewell message to Enyimba FC following his departure from the club, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The midfielder was among a list of 20 players that were announced recently to have departed the Aba Giants. 

Akanni, who expressed appreciation to Enyimba FC for the opportunity to represent the club, described his time as a worthwhile journey. 

"According to him, "To the Chairman, Staff, my teammates and fans of EnyimbaFC thank you for the wonderful journey. It's been an honour to wear the jersey and play for one of the biggest and best football club in Nigeria and Africa. As I move on, I'm Grateful for the fond memories we created."

Enyimba FC will be without the likes of Akanni, Brown Ideye and top stars who left the club for greener pastures elsewhere for the 2025/2026 football season.
